Before arriving in Canada, Dr. Friedlander studied general medicine and specialized in psychiatry in South Africa, obtaining degrees from the University of Cape Town and the University of Witwatersrand. On his arrival in BC in the early 1990s he became closely involved with a number of prestigious institutions, including BC Children’s Hospital, UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health.

When not busy with his work as Director of the Developmental Disorders Program at UBC or practicing medicine, he is a highly sought-after medical expert for court purposes. Due to his popularity, we recommend booking IMEs with Dr. Friedlander at least three months in advance.
