About Gabriele

Gabriele was born in Berlin, Germany, and started her court reporting career in Calgary, Alberta. She started her own firm, Dicta Reporting, with two colleagues and later moved to Vancouver, joining United Reporting Service and becoming a partner until the company merged with Reportex.

Gabriele’s court reporting career has taken her as far north as Resolute Bay and as far south as Singapore. She has enjoyed working on discoveries, arbitrations, interviews, Supreme Court of BC criminal and civil trials, senate hearings, ERCB hearings, oil and gas company shareholders’ meetings, BC Securities Commission hearings, law society hearings (in Alberta and BC) and commissions of inquiry.

Gabriele loves hiking, trail running, horseback riding and visiting family “down under.”

Fun Fact

For her first two jobs Gabriele worked as a pony girl on racetracks and then as a subeditor on the Bay of Plenty Times newspaper in New Zealand.
