Joan B

Legal Editing & Training Director

Joan is the legal editing and training director for Reportex, responsible for managing our vast transcription reference materials, overseeing our editing team and training all of our new team members.

About Joan

Joan has worked as an English teacher in Russia, as a medical transcriptionist and as a legal assistant. This diverse skillset makes her well suited to her role with Reportex, in particular working with new hires and training them to the high standard our clients expect.

Like most members of our team, Joan is passionate about language. In addition to being fluent in Russian and ASL, Joan studies foreign languages in her free time. Her expertise complements her responsibilities for overseeing and maintaining Reportex’s in-house style.

Interests & Volunteerism

When not studying languages, Joan can be found training for marathons, reading or practising her drawing skills. She plays the flute and loves animals (especially her cat). When the opportunity presents itself, Joan volunteers her ASL skills as an interpreter for the deaf.
