Lana has over 20 years’ experience in both criminal and civil cases with experience and an extensive knowledge base of aboriginal, medical, marine, environmental, construction and engineering-related terminology. She has international experience in reporting proceedings consisting of court, discoveries, arbitrations, hearings, inquests and depositions involving expert testimony, technical and job-specific legalese and interpreted matters.

Interests

Lana is very active and passionate about life, particularly travelling the world and long-distance running in mountains here and abroad.

Selected Captioning Work

Communication access real-time translation (CART), also called open captioning or real-time stenography, or simply real-time captioning, is the system used to convert speech to text for the deaf and hard of hearing. Lana has provided captioning for a wide range of events, including the following:
