Lana has over 20 years’ experience in both criminal and civil cases, with experience and an extensive knowledge base of Aboriginal, medical, marine, environmental, construction and engineering terminology. She has international experience in reporting proceedings consisting of court, discoveries, arbitrations, hearings, inquests and depositions involving expert testimony, technical and job-specific legalese and interpreted matters.

Interests

Lana is very active and passionate about life, particularly travelling the world and long-distance running in mountains in BC and abroad.

Selected Captioning Work

Communication access realtime translation (CART), also called open captioning or realtime stenography, or simply realtime captioning, is the system used to convert speech to text for the deaf and hard of hearing. Lana has provided captioning for a wide range of events, including the following:
